CeCe Teneal

Amazing, top-rated soul singer Cece Teneal who has continued to receive loads of praises alongside her renowned band Soul Kamotion for their captivating, energetic, and entertaining blend of songs announces the release of another tantalizing single titled “First Love.”

First Love, is a passionate account of leaving something too soon and taking too long to return.  It is a fresh take on a love song to a love interest or of one's self.  First Love is guaranteed to have listeners tapping their feet and singing along after the first listen.  Cece's voice speaks to the heart and allows listeners to connect with the song's message.

When talking about the song and what it means to the fans and herself, Cece said:
I sang blues for a long time even though I always loved R&B/Soul Music.  My fans kept asking me for a song similar to something Ledisi, Fantasia, or Anthony Hamilton would do since I gained a lot of popularity covering their music.  This particular one, “First Love,” means a lot, and it is absolutely dedicated to them [her fans].

The song was released on June 11, 2019.  It is a special song that commemorates the birthday of the tremendously gifted songstress, which happens to be the same day the song was released.

Born in Osteen, just outside of Orlando, Florida, Cece never envisioned herself as a performer.  She is a country girl blessed with a powerful voice that is filled with soul and resonance.  At first, keeping her talent within the walls of her home, quickly, Cece felt something bigger beginning to emerge; she began as a cover artist.  Cece’s career skyrocketed when she was selected as the lead singer for B.B. King’s Blues Club in Orlando in 2007.

She has since been tagged “a musical force to be reckoned with” by both fans and critics, and her achievements in the industry over the past decade are certainly a testament to that view.  Recently, on June 25, 2019, Cece Teneal and Soul Kamotion was the winner in the song category of Funk/Fusion/Jam at the 17th Independent Music Awards for its original song, “Danger.”

Critics and fans have called CeCe Teneal “a musical force to be reckoned with”, and her achievements in the industry over the past decade are certainly a testament to that view. A country girl blessed with a powerful voice that is filled with soul and resonance, CeCe began as a cover artist and is now planning to captivate the globe by performing her own original music that aligns with a blues/soul/funk soundtrack.

Born in Osteen, just outside of Orlando, Florida, CeCe never envisioned herself as a performer. Having inherited her voice from her mother, she was handed a microphone in the family church at the age of six and stunned people with her chillingly beautiful vocals. At first, keeping her talent within the walls of her home, CeCe quickly felt something bigger beginning to emerge. God had a different plan from what she had first imagined, and after singing at venues throughout her region, her career skyrocketed when she was selected as the lead singer for B.B. King’s Blues Club in Orlando in 2007. CeCe succeeded in transforming B.B. King’s into the most frequented live music venue in Orlando, and in 2011 she released her debut blues album, “Train from Osteen”, performing to sold-out crowds and eventually being dubbed the “Voice of Neo-Blues”.

Giving her all to every audience, CeCe’s passion and raw talent bring a palpably unique energy to her performances. By effortlessly blending invigorating melodies with soothing sounds, she provides an incredible musical experience that transcends cultural and generational barriers.

CeCe has traveled the world with her talent, gracing the stage before Buddy Guy, Joe Cocker, Johnny Lang, and the legendary B.B. King, to name just a few. Her own original sound has attracted the attention of fans across the globe, and her first music video, “Eleanor Rigby” was exclusively premiered on the Huffington Post. She has been nominated for 4 Independent Music Awards and claimed their title for 2011 Best Gospel Song (“I Heard you Prayin”) and Best R&B Album, as well as the 2019 award for Best Funk/Jam/Fusion song. Her other accolades include the 2015 Touch the Mic “Muse” Award, Best Female Singer at the 2009-2010 Orlando Hip-Hop Awards.

After touring as the leading lady for B.B. King’s Blues Club musical production and lounge on board Holland America Cruise Lines, CeCe produced and performed in a tribute to Aretha Franklin entitled “Portrait of a Queen”. A highly anticipated live album, #5or5000, with her band Soul Kamotion, was completed in 2018, and she is no doubt wowing fans across the globe once more with her passion, energy and undeniable talent.  “5 people or 5,000...everyone gets the same show,” CeCe says, and that is why her longevity as an artist is sure to outdo others in the industry.

Her latest single, First Love, is a passionate account of leaving something too soon and taking too long to return. It's a fresh take on a love song to a love interest or of one's self. First Love is guaranteed to have you tapping your feet and singing along after your first listen, just as CeCe's voice will speak to your heart and allow you to connect with the song's message.
