Swoop Swoop

Somewhere in the Shadows is the first album to be released under Gorman’s Swoop Swoop alias, on Sean Hocking’s now Hong Kong-based label Metal Postcard.

Filled with delicious, subtle takes on acoustic guitar and minor forays into electronic elements, there’s no one phrase to pin down the aesthetic.

Instead, there are influences, sounds, and fragments. “I love Bob Dylan,” Gorman says. “I remember listening to ‘Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright’ once and that really affected me, the sound and everything about it. I was into the blues for a long time, not so much anymore.”Harmonious Beach Boys pop also gets a look-in too, alongside a childhood fascination with punk.

“When I was in high school I listened to Dead Kennedys, American punk bands, but then I kind of got over that.

........the end result is the gloriously hazy, woozy world of Swoop Swoop that evokes Saturday afternoons, sunlight and carefree memories

Where the Wild Things Are: an album by Wildscape

Where the Wild Things Are: an album by Wildscape

On August 31st, 2015, Wildscape released their debut album "Where the Wild Things Are" on Soundcloud. The subject matter of this album comes from stories that the members wrote themselves, that alude to real life situations that they've been through. Initially, the album sounds like the chronicals of some "rich kids" whose parents kick them out and send them to a camp filled with inner city kids where they learn about life and the value of money. In real life terms, the "camp" is actually high school, and the "rich kids" are the members of Wildscape, and with these stories they describe what drugs have done to them and their friends, dysfunctional relationships with family members, and even feelings of suicide. Throughout the journey of this album, the listeners grow to love and feel for the characters and their situations. The album contains executive production from jopippins, and vocals from jopippins, JK, ProdiJ, and Nick Jordan. The album can be found here: https://soundcloud.com/wildscapemusic/sets/where-the-wild-things-are and on iTunes.

Jared Lutes

A 15-year veteran of both stage and studio, I am Moncton, NB singer-songwriter Jared Lutes. I have enjoyed consistent airplay and interviews on CBC Radio, earned live performances on local TV, appeared at many festival showcases, garnered multiple award nominations and awards, and have sold more than a thousand CDs from the stage.

My music has also been featured on the hit TV show Reign, and I am a winner both at the International Songwriting Competition, and the Indie International Songwriting Competition. I also host my own songwriter-circle program for RogersTV. My fourth solo album Lionheart Soul, has been hailed as my best work yet, and earns international radio play.

Appearing either solo or with my band I perform at hundreds of public venues and private events in the Maritimes. And while I am a committed musician, I’m also a father of two small children, and married to a talented singer as well; family remains my number-one inspiration. See more at:?www.jaredlutes.com

Kally O'Mally

Few powerhouse talents are capable of taking a vision from inception all the way through to product and Kally O'Mally is certainly one of them.    O'Mally hails from a Kentucky lineage that has generations of musical roots,  "I was enthralled by the music of my youth and far more interested in the stereo than the television.  My parents had a classic country and Southern Rock record collection that consisted of Loretta Lynn, Waylon Jennings, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Anne Murray, Barbara Mandrell and others."  That love of music laid the foundation of what's clearly a longtime pursuit towards mastery and a willingness to push her own limits to bring her music to fruition.
O'Mally grew up in South Florida which helped cultivate her deep love of world musics and Latin rhythms. "South Florida is steeped in an incredible variety of world sounds, rich horn sections and energetic percussive beats; congas, bongos, steel drums, you name it.   Anything to get people grooving and and dancing and having a good time.  When I've accomplished that, I'm happy."  O'Mally has a particular knack for combining styles and can move from writing a classic traditional sounding song like, Bourbon on my Deathbed to the more raucous and tongue in cheek, Wild West Medicine Show.  An admitted computer geek with a competitive side, she was inspired to jump into sound engineering so she could fully execute her musical vision.  Being a multi-instrumentalist makes it even easier for her.  O'Mally is at home and comfortable playing guitar, keyboard, bass, ukulele and a whole host of percussion instruments.
